The Mangatawa team had a great trip to visit our namesake marae last week.

We were welcomed on to the marae with a pōwhiri and we sang 'Papaki Tu Ana'.

It was awesome to have so many whānau members come and tautoko us & come on this trip with us. Ngā mihi nui to all of those who volunteered!

We then climbed up both the Hikurangi and Mangatawa maunga and when we got to the top, the views were unreal. We were able to see all of our whenua.

Matua Morris retold the story of 'ngā maunga tohora' to the tamariki. It was a great day.
