Medical Research Institute of the NZ is running a children’s eczema clinical trial we are running at Life Pharmacy Te Puke (61 Jellicoe Street, Te Puke 3119) as well as other community pharmacies around the country. This study is looking for volunteers aged 2-12 years with a doctor’s diagnosis of eczema to test a novel mānuka oil-based topical treatment. 

As an overview of the study, volunteers and their parent/guardian travel to a participating pharmacy for two study visits, 6 weeks apart. They will be provided with study treatment to apply twice daily for 6 weeks and will answer a weekly questionnaire about their eczema symptoms. All study medication is provided free of charge and volunteers will be compensated for their time and travel expenses whilst in the study.
