Tēnā koutou e te whānau

Welcome to the 2026 school year. I extend a warm welcome to all of our new students, families and staff who have joined our school community this year. Our new staff who have started with us are: Whaea Georgia Kimpton - teaching in Room 6, Matua William Paki - Akomanga 12, Whaea Liz Logan - Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCo).

Our staffing for 2026 is as follows:

It is great to see our children back in their routine of school. We have had a great first week. Thank you for your support with ensuring that your child has their stationery and correct school uniform including hats for Term 1.

Our school uniform expectations are as follows:

It is with great sadness that I acknowledge the passing of Austen Richardson and his grandmother Yao Fang.  We thank you and the wider community for your kindness and support of the school, family and each other as we process our grief of this tragic loss.

We also want to acknowledge the devastating impact that the storm has had on our school community and whānau. Our thoughts and support are with all our whānau and the extended community affected.

Tomorrow we recognise the historic signing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. I hope you have an amazing long weekend with your whanau and enjoy your Waitangi day celebrations.

If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Nga mihi nui,

Vicki Hiini

Tumuaki/Principal
