Tēnā koutou e te whānau

As we approach the end of another term, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the team here at Arataki School. Our staff give 100% and work tirelessly to provide the best they can for our tamariki and our community.  It has been really exciting to see some of our plans begin to come to fruition this term.

  1.  Our teaching team has embarked on a significant professional learning in Structured Literacy.  As with all new learning the journey provides opportunities to reflect on current beliefs and practices and lots of rich discussion about what is best for our tamariki.
  2. Our Curriculum Development team have been busy gathering lots of voice about who Arataki School is to begin to pull together a concise identity narrative…watch this space lots more to come!

I will be going on a sabbatical for Term 2. During my absence, our Deputy Principal, Shelley Craig will be taking over as the Acting Principal, supported by Tania Solomona and our Team Leaders. I know I leave Arataki School in very safe hands. I would like to thank you all in advance for your support during this time. I am looking forward to returning to our school community with a fresh perspective and renewed energy.

Have a safe and happy Easter.

Ngā mihi

Shelley Blakey

Pre Loved Uniforms

Needing a few pieces of uniform.  Come and see our pre-loved uniforms at the school office.

Get ready for the colder weather.  We have a stack of pre-loved jumpers.

Have your tamariki grown out of their uniforms?

Please consider donating them back to the kura.  These uniform donations are :

  • sold to our whanau for donations of $5-$10. The money raised is used for resources for our classrooms.
  • used for our tamariki who may need them.

These donations are gratefully received at the school office.
