Tēnā koutou e te whānau
What a wonderful start to Term 4 we have had, it has been great to catch up on all the exciting holiday and Labour Weekend adventures our tamariki and whānau have had.
A warm welcome to all our new families. It was lovely to meet many of you at our Pohiri on our first day back.
TEACHER ONLY DAY has been POSTPONED UNTIL 2023
This week, we have been informed by the NZEl Primary Teachers Union of Paid Union Meetings happening for all Primary School Teachers in the Mount Maunganui area on the afternoon of Wednesday 16 November.
As a condition of their employment contract with the
government, primary teachers and leaders have an entitlement to a paid union meeting to discuss their conditions of service each year.
Mount Maunganui Schools will postpone the planned Monday, November 14 Kāhui Ako Teacher Only Day until Thursday 6th April (the last day of Term 1) so as to minimise disruption for our whānau/community on Week 5 of this
term.
Arataki School will now be open on Monday 14 November and will be closing at 12.30 pm on Wednesday 16 November.
On Wednesday 16 November at 12.30 pm, the bell will signal the end of the school day enabling staff to attend their important meeting.
Thank you for making arrangements for your child(ren) to be collected or have them make their way home as usual from school at 12.30 pm. There will be road patrol at 12.30 pm enabling students to cross Kaimanawa and Grenada Streets safety.
