Kia ora whānau

This term has just flown by,  with so much to celebrate.

How good was it, having events onsite again, and having our tamariki involved in so many opportunities out in our community.

I'd like to thank our amazing staff for their hard work this term and as always thank you whānau for your support.

Pohiri, Monday, 25 July at 9.00am

We invite new whanau who started during term two and those who will be starting at the beginning of term 3 to our Pohiri on Monday, 25 July at 9.00am to welcome you to our kura. This will be followed by a chance for us to meet and korero with whanau over a cup of tea and a biscuit.

Looking forward to seeing you all back next term.

Have a safe and happy holiday.

Your Child's Hero Profile - Term Two

Board of Trustees Elections

This September we will hold our triennial board elections for Arataki School. We're looking for passionate, enthusiastic people with a variety of skills and experience who are ready to help our school thrive by standing for our school Board of Trustees (BOT).

The BOT is a governance body made up of five elected parent representatives who, alongside an elected staff representative, work very closely with Principal Shelley Blakey to ensure our school runs smoothly and that it continues to grow the hearts and minds of our tamariki.

Now is a great time to start talking to your friends and family about how you (or they!) might support our amazing school. If you'd like to know more about what being a trustee involves, feel free to contact our current Board Chair Megan Clarkin, mclarkin@arataki.school.nz or 021 474228, or have a chat with any of our board members:

Scott Illingworth

Charlotte Yates

Alan Davies

Cindy Shaw

Please consider donating them back to the kura.  These uniform donations are :

  • used for our tamariki who may need them.

These donations are gratefully received at the school office.
