Question: How do I enrol my child at Arataki School?

Answer: ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​If you live within our school zone, fill out our online enrolment form or print a hard copy form and send it in to Arataki School. ​​​​​​​

Question: I’d like to send my child to Arataki School but we aren’t in the zone. What can I do?

Answer: ​​​​​​​ If we have space, we are happy to open our doors to children from further afield. Each year, our Board of Trustees publishes the number of places available in the local newspaper along with the registration date. Contact us  for more information.​​​​​​​

Question:  What are the term and holiday dates this year?

Answer: ​​​​​​​Our current term dates, holidays and special events are all listed HERE.

Question: How can I report an absence?

Answer: ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ If your child needs to stay home, please let us know by filling in this absence form, calling the office at 07 575 3497 or texting 022 6560021

Question: How do I get involved in the Friends of the School?

Answer: Joining our Friends of the School group is a great way to get involved in the school community. Contact aratakifriends@outlook.co.nz to join.

Question:  How do I order a new uniform?

Answer: ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ To buy a new or replacement uniform, or view the price list, complete the order form HERE.

Question: ​​​​​​​ How can I keep up to date with my children’s learning?

Answer: ​​​​​​​ Arataki School values communications with our whānau and supports your involvement via our newsletter, Facebook page, our online communications platform Hero, and regular hui.​​​​​​​

Question: Where can I learn about the school’s latest news?​​​​​​​

Answer: ​​​​​​​You can keep up to date with our school’s events and happenings by reading our school’s newsletter HERE.

Question: What is Hero?​​​​​​​

Answer: ​​​​​​​Hero is our online communications platform that lets us provide real-time reporting and keep in close contact with our families. Your child must be enrolled to log on. To find out more click HERE

Question:  What extra-curricular activities can my child take part in?

Answer: ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ We offer an extensive list of fun activities that your children can get involved in. Whole School events include cross country, athletics, swimming and tabloid sports. Our field sports include basketball, netball, hockey rippa, and flipperball. 

Your child can also join one of our many arts and culture activities, such as Kapahaka, The Pacifika Group, the choir or the gardening club. For additional music, dance or art classes, we can connect you with one of our outside providers. Learn more about our school events HERE
